Welcome to the 4th edition of The Chris Walker Cycle Challenge and those of you who competed last year will be thrilled to bits to have the opportunity to do it all again. There will be 2 route option's available too you this year.
If you are feeling energetic there is an pleasant 43 mile loop with two serious climbs of Honister and Whinlatter and a few smaller ones in between (Route 43) or for the those wishing for a real challenge there is an mammoth 90 mile loop (Route 90) around the beautiful Lake District taking in most of the high mountain passes that the Lakes has to offer (long route). These include Honister, Hardknot, Wrynose and the hard way up Kirkstone pass from Ambleside known as 'The Struggle'.
Roll out time will be from 09.00am and will head out of the town of Keswick onto the first climb of the day of Honister pass.
The ride starts and finishes at Keswick Rugby Club,who have kindly offered the use of their facilities including toilets/car parking etc. Keswick Adventure Centre are for the forth year on hand with helping with the organisation and providing broom wagon's. I am sure that you will all agree that the Challenge is not only a tough day of cycling, but you will be rewarded with some amazing views too.
All routes will be signed to aid navigation.
A broom wagon will be provided by Keswick Adventure Centre for both routes should any participant require it. This will pick up any rider who feels that they can't continue for any reason i.e. mechanical problems or fatigue, and will take them back to the finish line.
There will be ONE feed stop available on the Route 43 and TWO feed stops on the Route 90.
How To Enter
Please complete the on-line entry form Via the entry form tab at the side of this page. This is so we can have the exact numbers of participants. Please note that your details will not be passed on to any 3rd Parties.
Once entered please download the event manual, which will contain all details from Accommodation to route guides. This will include schedule stops so you can replenish your energy. You can find this by clicking the tab labeled route manual & sponsor form.
Even though there is a small charge for this years event we would still appreciate you to download the sponsorship form and help to raise as much money as possible.
This is fund raising event and is ran purely by volunteers to ensure that all procides go directly to The Chris Walker Trust.

The ride starts and finishes at Keswick Rugby Club, who have kindly offered us the use of their facilities This includes car parking and amenities. All riders should register on here.
At the finish, riders can shower and change if they wish to do so.
